40 Years of Worship, Witness, and Community
The seeds of the Fairfield Community Seventh-day Adventist Church were planted in the early 1900s, when Sister Grace Jacques, granddaughter of church co-founder Ellen G. White, recalled colporteurs riding bicycles through the Fairfield–Suisun area, sharing books such as "Steps to Christ" and "The Great Controversy." Their faithful work laid the foundation for an Adventist presence in the community.

Although no church had yet been established by 1949, Elder Duane Corwin and fellow Pacific Union College students held Sabbath Story Hour programs for families in Fairfield and at Travis Air Force Base, nurturing a vision to plant a church in the area.
That vision became a reality in 1985, when two small groups, the Fairfield English Company and the Suisun City-Fairfield Company, merged to form the Fairfield Community Seventh-day Adventist Church.

That same year, in 1985, our church launched a new tradition: the May Month of Praise. What began as a heartfelt celebration of faith, music, and unity has grown into a cherished annual event that uplifts and inspires across generations. Now, in 2025, we joyfully mark 40 years of May Month of Praise. It is a powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness and the beauty of multicultural worship in the Fairfield–Suisun community.
